a large role in film and architecture since the being of both industries,
it's origins from simple sketches has been transferred through the
technological capabilities of computers and now animation and CGI
have the ability to take film into new territories. Some of the
first films to use animation were "The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari"
and the avant-garde moment. The mixed use of real characters and
settings with animation started to real a hidden madness of the
plot through it's props, and scenes. Shrewd perspectives, off-set
angles and two-dimensional backdrops was first used in the Dr. Caligari
film in the early 20th century. This film was one of first films
to successfully portray madness, it not only portrayed it in the
plot but in the all aspects of the film, where the scenes represented
more than just a setting but were the product of a characters imagination.
